Kings extend Clifford with five-year deal

The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Kyle Clifford to a five-year, $8-million contract extension.

The 6-foot-2, 209-pound forward has played in 333 games in his career and has 25 goals and 58 points.

Clifford was a second-round (35th overall) selection of the Kings in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The 24-year-old was a member of the Kings’ Stanley Cup champion teams in 2012 and 2014.
