NEW YORK — Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Quick is the NHL’s first star of the week after leading the Kings to three wins.

Quick went 3-0-0 with a 1.33 goals-against average and .959 save percentage over the week as the Kings stretched their winning streak to seven games and moved into third place in the Pacific Division.

He capped his performance with 31 saves in a 2-1 win over the rival San Jose Sharks on Saturday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. With that victory he became the first goaltender in Kings history to reach the 200-win milestone.

Vancouver Canucks centre Henrik Sedin was awarded second-star honours after scoring three goals and adding five assists over four games.

Montreal Canadiens left-winger Max Pacioretty was named the third star for scoring four goals and adding two assists in four games.
