Kings sign Justin Auger to a one-year, two-way deal

The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Justin Auger to a one-year, two-way deal.

Auger will make $650,000 next season in the NHL, while his salary at the AHL level has yet to be announced.

Originally the Kings’ fourth-round (103rd overall) pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, Auger has yet to make his NHL regular-season debut. The 23-year-old from Waterloo, Ont., played in 61 games last season for the AHL’s Ottawa Reign where he posted 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points.

Listed at six-foot-six and 233 pounds, Auger also helped the AHL’s Manchester Monarchs win the Calder Cup in 2015.
