Leafs lose Kubina to MCL injury

TORONTO — Defenceman Pavel Kubina has been knocked out of the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup indefinitely with a medial collateral ligament injury to his right knee.

Kubina was injured during Toronto’s 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Saturday night.

The 30-year-old is in his second season with the Maple Leafs. He had one goal and 11 points in 18 games this season.
