Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Martin Marincin will return from a lower-body injury for their game against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, head coach Mike Babcock confirms.
Marincin has been sidelined since Dec. 10 when he crashed hard into the boards during a game against the Boston Bruins. He missed 17 games.
The return of the 24-year-old defenceman will be welcomed by the Leafs as Morgan Rielly will miss his seccond consecutive game, also due to a lower-body injury.
Marincin skated on a line with Nikita Zaitsev on Friday while Frank Corrado was the odd man out.
In 19 games this season, Marincin has one goal, four assists and is minus-one.
