The Toronto Maple Leafs will be looking to continue their winning ways when they face the Detroit Red Wings in a home-and-home series on Friday and Saturday this weekend. The Leafs (2-2-0) welcome the Wings to Air Canada Centre on Friday night as -125 moneyline favourites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Maple Leafs are riding high on a two-game winning streak, covering the puckline in victories this week over the New York Rangers and the Colorado Avalanche. However, that success has done nothing to impact the Leafs’ Stanley Cup odds, which remain a distant 40/1 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Red Wings (1-1-1) lost a pair of 3-2 decisions in the past week, to Anaheim in regulation on Saturday and to Boston in a shootout on Wednesday, and have seen the total go OVER in just one of their last 10 games dating back to the final week of the 2013-14 regular season. Despite their rocky start, though, the Red Wings have held steady in Stanley Cup futures betting with odds of 22/1.

The Calgary Flames will try to build on their fast start with a pair of games on the weekend. The Flames (3-2-0) were perfect in extra time this week, picking up a 3-2 shootout win over Nashville on Tuesday before knocking off the Stanley Cup favourite Chicago Blackhawks 2-1 in overtime at the United Center on Wednesday.

Calgary visits Columbus (2-1-0) on Friday night, opening as +145 moneyline underdogs at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, before travelling to Winnipeg for Sunday to face the struggling Jets (1-2), who begin their weekend with a Friday tilt in Nashville.

The Edmonton Oilers (0-3-1) continue the search for their first win when they welcome the Vancouver Canucks to town on Friday night as early +120 moneyline underdogs on the NHL odds for this weekend. The Oilers have been puckline losers in three of their first four games but have managed to outshoot opponents twice.

Vancouver travels home on Saturday to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning before starting a three-game road swing on Tuesday. The Montreal Canadiens continue their first homestand of the season when the Colorado Avalanche visit the Bell Centre on Saturday night. The Ottawa Senators follow up Thursday’s home opener with a visit from the Blue Jackets on Saturday.
