Leafs’ Holzer delivers questionable hit

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Korbinian Holzer received a five minute penalty for boarding and a 10 minute game misconduct for this hit on Philadelphia Flyers forward Tye McGinn.

The incident occurred halfway through the second period of the Leafs’ 5-2 win over the Flyers.

McGinn went to the locker room after the hit but did return to the game and scored the Flyers’ second goal of the night.

The hit from behind may garner Holzer a meeting with Brendan Shanahan, the NHL’s chief player disciplinarian.
