The puck has not yet dropped for the 2014-15 NHL season but the Edmonton Oilers are already rising up the ranks.
StubHub reports that the Oilers ranks No. 12 on its list of top-selling teams, up from 26th last season.
A spokesman for the online ticket marketplace said the Boston Bruins ranked No. 1, up from No. 2 last season. The Rangers were second (up one place), ahead of Chicago (down two), Los Angeles (up one) and Philadelphia (down one).

Among other Canadian teams, Toronto was sixth (no change), Montreal seventh (up seven), Vancouver 14th (up seven), Calgary 20th (up eight), Ottawa 25th (down two) and Winnipeg 30th (no change).
The figures are based on dollar amount of 2014-15 tickets since the teams put them on sale. And they are open to interpretation. For example, the MTS Centre in Winnipeg can only accommodate 15,004 but regularly sells out, so there are likely fewer Jets tickets made available for resale.
The highest-selling StubHub game was the Oct. 8 season opener for the defending champion Los Angeles Kings against visiting San Jose. The rest of the top five was the Maple Leafs’ visit to Madison Square Garden on Oct. 12, Montreal at Boston on Nov. 22, Minnesota at Philadelphia Nov. 20 (Eric Lindros and John LeClair Flyers Hall of Fame induction) and Los Angeles versus San Jose on Feb. 21 (outdoors at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.).
Top-selling Canadian games were Toronto’s season opener at home to Montreal on Oct. 8, Pittsburgh at Toronto on Oct. 11, Boston at Montreal on Oct. 16, Toronto at Montreal on Feb. 14 and Montreal at Edmonton on Oct. 27.
