Maple Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello says from everything like the media coverage, to the city's enthusiasm, to the successes and achievements, how could you not feel invigorated by this team.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have loaned forward Kasperi Kapanen to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.

The Marlies are in the midst of a Calder Cup playoff run, having split the opening two games of their best-of-five first-round series with Albany.

Kapanen had 18 goals and 43 points in 43 games for the Marlies this season, before being recalled to the Leafs on March 27.

He scored once in eight games for the Leafs as they finished their season, before adding two goals in six playoff games.

The Marlies are back in Toronto for three consecutive home games to close out Round 1.

Game 3 will be played on Wednesday.
