Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Leo Komarov will fly in from Russia to participate in training camp.
Komarov, who turns 26 on Jan. 23, was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the sixth round (180th overall) in the 2006 NHL Draft and has played the majority of the last four seasons with Moscow Dynamo in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Komarov signed a one-year deal with the Maple Leafs in May, but when the NHL locked out its players Komarov was assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
He played 14 games with the Marlies — registering six goals, nine points with a plus/minus rating of plus-7 — before being loaned back to the Dynamo.
The Finnish forward is known as a gritty presence on the ice and is expected to make a push for a spot on the Leafs’ checking line. If he does not make the big club, though, it is believed he could go back to Russia to play out the remainder of the season in the KHL. Another option for him would be to rejoin the Marlies.
