The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis to a one-year, two-way contract Saturday, the team announced.
Gudlevskis played in 41 games for the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch last season, going 16-12-8 with a 2.83 goals-against average and .907 save percentage. The Latvia native is remembered for his 55-save performance against Team Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
The Lightning also re-signed goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy to an extension Friday while starter Ben Bishop is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2016-17 season.
