Lightning sign third-round pick Alexey Lipanov to contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Alexey Lipanov to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Lipanov was a third-round pick of the team in June’s NHL draft.

Last season the 18-year-old played in Russia’s MHL.
