Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop say he’s “ready to go” for Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres after missing the team’s last nine games with a lower-body injury.
Bishop suffered the injury back on Dec. 20 against the Red Wings when he appeared to tweak something in his right knee while making a save.
The 30-year-old has a 9-10-2 record with a 2.79 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 22 games this season.
The Lightning and back-up goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy struggled in Bishop’s absence, winning just three of the nine games and falling out of the playoff picture.
