Lightning’s J.T. Brown out indefinitely with an upper-body injury

Tyler Johnson had a pair of goals in the Lightning’s 5-2 win over the Red Wings, putting them up 2-0 in the series.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward J.T. Brown will be out indefinitely with an upper-body injury suffered in Friday night’s win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Brown was hurt in the first period of Game 2 and did not join his team for the second.

The 25-year-old scored 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 78 games this season and has no points this playoffs. He will miss the rest of the First round but his return past that point has not been ruled out.

The Lightning will take a 2-0 lead to Detroit as they look to take a stranglehold on the series.

Game 3 will be played on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. ET and can be seen on CBC.
