According to Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Randy Caryle, forward Joffrey Lupul suffered a broken forearm in the team’s 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Lupul, who recorded 67 points last season was injured after being hit by a Dion Phaneuf slapshot in the second period.
Many have suggested that Lupul will be out for six to eight weeks with the injury, although the Maple Leafs doctors have yet to provide a timetable for his return.
