Brandon Kozun is headed back to the AHL, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday.
The 24-year-old winger was assigned to the AHL Marlies Sunday afternoon, a day after the Maple Leafs topped the Winnipeg Jets in overtime.
Kozun has appeared in eight games with the Maple Leafs this season, registering two points (one goal, one assist).
He scored his first NHL goal earlier in the week in the Maple Leafs 2-1 loss to Carolina on Friday. In 23 games with the Marlies, Kozun has 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists).
