After being held out of the lineup the past three games, Auston Matthews was still absent as the Toronto Maple Leafs returned to practice Monday.

Matthews has not been on the ice since the Leafs’ win over the Vegas Golden Knights last Monday with what the team is calling an upper-body injury.

In 16 games this season Matthews leads the Leafs with 10 goals and 19 points.

William Nylander and Tyler Bozak were also missing from practice in what appears to be a maintenance day.

The Leafs next game will be at home on Thursday against the New Jersey Devils.
