Maple Leafs get credit for Jays’ win over Mets

Don Cherry is going to bat for Josh Donaldson, so it's only fair that the Blue Jays third baseman returns the favour, catching the hockey pundit's ceremonial first pitch on Canada Day.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher R.A. Dickey allowed one run on three hits over 7 1/3 innings on Thursday, leading his team to a 7-1 win over the New York Mets at Rogers Centre.

According to a local CBS affiliate, however, all the credit for the Blue Jays’ victory belongs to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

CBS 2 New York had a graphic slip-up on their Thursday evening news, and the Maple Leafs’ twitter account was quick to grab hold of the headline.
