The Toronto Maple Leafs may have one less trading chip before Monday’s 3 p.m. ET trade deadline after defenceman Korbinian Holzer left Sunday’s game with an upper-body injury.

Holzer was shaken up after taking a hit from Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin.

Sportsnet’s Damien Cox reported Saturday night on Hockey Night in Canada that Holzer was one of three players that were likely going to be traded by the Maple Leafs.

The 27-year-old defenceman has zero goals and six assists in 33 games this season.

Holzer is in the final year of his two-year, $1.575 contract and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2014-15 season.
