The Toronto Maple Leafs are two points out of a playoff spot in January which demands that two questions be asked: Are they for real, and if so, what should they do in terms of player transactions?

On The Sportsnet Hotstove, Gare Joyce and Ryan Dixon discuss the Leafs, where they’re headed, and what it would take for the Leafs to trade away an asset or two.

“I think they stick to their guns and if they get a knock-your-socks-off offer for James van Riemsdyk, who is the name that is out there most when it comes to trade talk, then I think they still look extremely long and hard at that,” said Dixon.

“They’ve come way to far to reverse course and start behaving like that now.”
