Maple Leafs sign Auston Matthews to entry level deal

Leafs Nation co-host Gord Stellick says he has zero concern that the Maple Leafs and Auston Matthews haven’t signed a contract yet, says Lou’s set in his policies, but he always creates a ‘player’s first’ environment.

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed first overall pick Auston Matthews to a three-year, entry level contract Thursday.

Matthews’ contract includes the maximum amount of bonuses and salary, according to Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston.

The Leafs have roughly $2.63 million in projected cap space after the signing, according to generalfanager.com.
