The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Marcus Kruger to a three-year contract extension, the team announced Tuesday.
Kruger was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2009 and was a part of the team that won the 2013 Stanley Cup.
He’s been a durable skater, playing in all but three games over the previous three seasons, though he’s been out of the Blackhawks lineup since December with a long-term wrist injury. He’s accumulated 85 points in 320 NHL games.

He was originally scheduled to recover from the injury in mid- to late-April, four months after the incident.
