Mario Lemieux’s son drafted by Omaha in USHL

Mario Lemieux is one of the co-owner of the Penguins.

Austin Lemieux, the son of Pittsburgh Penguins great Mario Lemieux, was selected by the Omaha Lancers in the ninth round (138th overall) of the United States Hockey League (USHL) draft on Tuesday.

Lemieux, 19, spent the last two seasons with Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 18 team, registering 19 goals and 34 assists in 67 games.

The 6-foot-2 right winger was born in Sewickley, PA.
