Montreal Canadiens defenceman Andrei Markov will be unavailable for the Eastern Conference final, despite earlier reports that the club was hopeful he could make a comeback.
Markov participated in a full practice with his teammates on Friday, but his knee injury has been ruled too severe to allow him a return vs. the Flyers.
The 31-year old defenceman was injured in Game 1 of the Canadiens’ second round series with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
