Forward Mason Raymond and defenceman Calle Andersson were placed on unconditional waivers by their respective teams on Wednesday, for the purpose of terminating their contracts.
Raymond signed a one-year, $675,000 contract with the Anaheim Ducks in July and has no points in four games this season.
The 31-year-old scored a career-high 25 goals in 2009-10 after coming up through the Vancouver Canucks system, and has also played for Toronto and Calgary.
Andersson was a fourth-round pick of the New York Rangers in 2012, and has yet to play an NHL game.
The 22-year-old had nine points in 43 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League in ’15-16, and has three assists through four games with Hartford so far this season.
He was in the final year of his entry-level contract.
