Max McCormick re-signs with Senators on two-year deal

Max McCormick has decided to re-sign with the Ottawa Senators on a two-year contract, with the first year of the deal including a two-way clause.

The 25-year-old forward, who was originally the Senators’ sixth-round pick (171st overall) in 2011, will earn a guaranteed $250,000. He will also have a salary of $650,000 in the NHL or $200,000 in the AHL in the first year of his extension.

McCormick played the past two seasons with the Senators, appearing in 27 games while putting up four points. The Wisconsin native spent the majority of his playing time last year with the AHL’s Binghamton Senators, putting up a career-high 36 points while also holding the position of assistant captain.
