Losing mayor gets Habs logo tattooed on head

Thunder Bay mayor Keith Hobbs, a massive Boston Bruins fan, lost a bet. He now has a Habs tattoo on his head. (Dunick)

On his Twitter bio, Keith Hobbs describes himself first as a “Bruins fan,” second as a a “proud grandfather,” and third as the “mayor of beautiful Thunder Bay!”

So the ordeal he underwent Tuesday morning must’ve burned him to the core.

When the Boston Bruins were eliminated by the Montreal Canadiens, Hobbs lost a bet to local radio personality and fellow bald man Danny Foresta, co-host of Thunder Bay, Ont.’s Mornings with Danny and Laura on 91.5 CKPR.

The stakes were high: Because Carey Price stood on his head, Hobbs had to get the Canadiens logo tattooed on his.

“When I have spare time, one of my biggest passions is hockey. I am a die-hard Boston Bruins fan, have all their stuff and watch the games,” Hobbs told Thunder Bay Business upon election.

Mercifully for the mayor, the new ink is temporary and should only last for a few days, less if he scrubs rubbing alcohol on it.

Regardless, we have come a long way from buying the other guy some beer.
