Earlier this season top 2015 draft prospect Connor McDavid got into a fight with Bryson Cianfrone and suffered a hand injury. Naturally, it caused a ripple through the hockey world. Why did McDavid have to fight? Should fighting be banned from hockey or, at least, junior hockey?
Will McDavid be available for the World Junior Championship, hosted in Montreal and Toronto?
In an interview with Hockey Night in Canada’s David Amber during Saturday’s game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks, McDavid said he “should be good to go” for the annual event.
“I have another doctor’s appointment on Tuesday and the cast is expected to come off. So I’ll be able to resume shooting and all that and take some hits.”
And how did McDavid get tickets to the game? Why, his agent Bobby Orr of course.
“I knew I was going to be home so I just asked Bobby to…Bobby Orr if he could arrange for me to get some tickets and he’s a great guy and he’s very good to me and he was able to get a couple tickets for me.”
