McDavid undergoes successful surgery for fractured clavicle

Mark Spector join us to discuss how the Oilers, despite McDavid's injury, need to step up to get this team out of the cellar they've been in for the past several years.

Connor McDavid has undergone successful surgery to repair his fractured clavicle, the team announced Wednesday evening.

McDavid suffered the injury Tuesday night when he went crashing into the boards along with two Philadelphia Flyers defencemen.

Oilers general manager Peter Chiarelli revealed the rookie is expected to miss “months” as he recovers from the injury.

McDavid has five goals and seven assists on the season, and was named rookie of the month for October.
