The Ottawa Senators hope to have results from an MRI on Milan Michalek’s left leg by Tuesday morning, according to general manager Bryan Murray.
Michalek returned to Ottawa for an MRI on Monday to determine the extend of his injury.
Head coach Cory Clouston admitted there could be more significant damage to the leg than the club initially thought. The winger, who leads the team with 22 goals, suffered the injury when crashing into the goal post in Atlanta on Thursday night.
Michalek did return briefly to practice with the team on Friday in Dallas, but he left the ice after a few minutes.
