Montreal Canadiens recall Charles Hudon from AHL

The Montreal Canadiens announced Tuesday evening that Charles Hudon has been recalled from the St. John’s IceCaps.

Hudon, who has 10 goals and 10 assists in 24 games with the IceCaps this season, finished second among AHL rookies in points last season.

The Canadiens were left with 12 forwards on their active roster after placing Devante Smith-Pelly on the injured reserve list and waiving Alexander Semin Monday.

Smith-Pelly is expected to miss at least one week, and Semin was sent to the IceCaps after he cleared waivers Tuesday.
