The New York Islanders are reeling from a Game 4 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals and one play in particular has left a bad taste in their mouths.
In the second period Tuesday, Capitals forward Tom Wilson received two minutes charging after crushing veteran blueliner Lubomir Visnovsky.

This hit came mere seconds after Wilson left the box following a kneeing minor and Islanders forward Kyle Okposo didn’t appreciate it.
“He’s an idiot,” Okposo told the New York Post. “That guy runs around, he hits reckless. He jumps, leaves his feet. There’s no place for that.”
Wilson has been a thorn in the Isles’ side over the last three games, racking up 17 hits despite only averaging 7:26 in ice-time.
“From the bench, from my view, [Wilson] left his feet,” head coach Jack Capuano added.
Visnovsky did not return to the game and his status for Thursday’s Game 5 is unknown at this time. He will be evaluated by team medical staff Wednesday.
At least one positive came out of the hit, though, as Youtube user “rmnbblog” posted a video of the hit with legendary WWE announcer Jim Ross’s commentary dubbed over it.
