NHL commissioner Gary Bettman will hold a press conference following the conclusion of Wednesday’s board of governors meeting in New York City. The press conference is scheduled for approximately 1 p.m. ET. No further details were made available.
All regular season games through Dec. 14, plus the Winter Classic and all-star game, have already been wiped off the schedule.
There appeared to be a heightened sense of urgency around negotiations with the league’s board of governors scheduled to gather Wednesday and more cancellations expected by the end of the week unless an agreement is reached.
Sportsnet’s Josh Shannon, Michael Grange and Ian Mendes will be live on the scene Wednesday to provide the latest on the situation.
