NHL world reacts to Stars’ Peverley collapsing

After the scary situation in Dallas had Rich Peverley taken to hospital, coach Lindy Ruff and the team's doctor spoke to the press about his condition.

Across the NHL Monday night, players and fans were holding their breath when Stars centre Rich Peverley collapsed on the Dallas bench during a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In the latest update from Dallas, the Stars say Peverley — who has a history of heart problems — is in stable condition at a local hospital after being treated for a “cardiac event.”

As word of the scary incident spread, the NHL community took to Twitter to offer their thoughts and prayers to the Guelph, Ont., native.
