The Ottawa Senators could be looking for a goaltender on Trade Deadline Day, as starting keeper Craig Anderson will be out indefinitely after injuring his right hand at his home on Wednesday night, the team announced.
The accident occurred Wednesday when a knife he was using to prepare a meal accidentally lacerated his right hand.
Anderson was treated at the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Anderson is 29-19-6 with three shutouts, a 2.85 and a .913 save percentage in 56 appearances this season.
Prior to the accident, the 30-year-old was on a four-game win streak where he had two shutouts and a GAA of 1.00.
