NHLPA planning outdoor game on Lake Louise

The National Hockey League Players’ Association is planning an outdoor game on Lake Louise sometime in February if a new collective bargaining agreement cannot be reached, Sportsnet’s Daren Millard has learned.

The NHLPA had held a handful of exhibition games during the current lockout, including a charity game on Wednesday night at the former Maple Leaf Gardens that featured 39 NHLers.

On Thursday — day 96 of the lockout — the NHL cancelled all games through Jan. 14.
