The Montreal Canadiens announced their four captains on Monday, and it seems as if the city’s favourite adopted son is starting to catch a little bit of that Habs fever.
Alouettes receiver and former NFL pro bowler Chad Johnson tweeted on Monday how he’d really like to play for Montreal’s storied franchise and sock it to one of the Canadiens’ most hated rivals.
Bruins fans didn’t take too kindly to Johnson’s little jab, but he seemed to roll with the punches.
It’s worth noting that Johnson played for the New England Patriots in 2011.
Ochocino also seems to be getting ready for the NHL season virtually.
The Canadiens play the Bruins in Montreal for the first time this coming season on Oct. 16. Johnson’s status for that contest is still to be determined.
