Earlier in November, Acton was placed on waivers and after clearing, was sent to the AHL’s Oklahoma City Barons. In six AHL games, the 27-year-old has a goal and an assist.

Lain, 25, has played in 10 games for the Canucks’ (13-6-0) AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets this year. The Oakville, Ont. native had one assist to go along with 20 penalty minutes.

A big presence up the middle at six-foot-six, 210-pounds, the centre played in nine games last year with Vancouver scoring once.
