Oilers activate Hendricks, Russell; Caggiula to make NHL debut

Drake Caggiula talked about the pressure of picking an NHL team as a free agent out of college and why he picked the Edmonton Oilers.

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Oilers activated forward Matt Hendricks and defenceman Kris Russell from injured reserve before Saturday’s road game against the Dallas Stars.

Hendricks had 12 points in 68 games last season. Russell has three assists in 11 games this season.

The Oilers also activated forward Drake Caggiula from the injured non-roster list and assigned forward Anton Lander to AHL Bakersfield.
