Oilers’ Taylor Hall to play for Canada at world championships

Taylor Hall scored on a breakaway, but just as impressive as the moves he put on goaltender Michal Neuvirth is the fall he took into the boards immediately after.

Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall will play for Team Canada at the upcoming world championships in Russia.

This will be Hall’s third world championship appearance and second in a row as he was on the gold medal-winning 2015 team in Switzerland.

The 24-year-old has developed into one of the game’s most dangerous players but was not named to Canada’s preliminary world cup roster.

He’s scored 26 goals and 64 points in 81 games this season with the Oilers.

The 2016 world championships will be held from May 6-22 in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
