The Florida Panthers signed forward Reilly Smith to a five-year contract extension Sunday, the team announced.
Reilly’s contract has a $5-million AAV.
Smith, 25, scored 25 goals (a career high) and 50 points in 82 games for the Panthers last season. His 25 goals were ranked third on the team and he was one of two Panthers to play in all 82 games. In six playoff games last season, Smith led the team in goals (4) and points (8).
The Toronto native has 150 points in 285 career NHL games for Florida, the Boston Bruins, and Dallas Stars.
