Florida Panthers defenceman Nick Boynton was sent home by the team Friday and will miss the final three games of this trip because of disciplinary reasons, Sportsnet has confirmed.
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Martin wouldn’t provide any details, but said he plans to speak with Boynton again Monday.
Earlier this season, Boynton was benched for one game.
Boynton came to the Panthers in June, along with Keith Ballard, in the Olli Jokinen trade.
