Panthers place Grabner on waivers

The Florida Panthers have placed forward Michael Grabner on waivers.

Grabner was acquired from the Canucks in a draft-day deal that saw Grabner, Steve Bernier and the Canucks first-round pick (Quinton Howden), move to the Florida for Keith Ballard and Victor Oreskovich.

If Grabner clears waivers he will be sent to the Panthers minor-league affiliate in Rochester.

The club also placed Joe Callahan and Andrew Peters on waivers.
