Panthers’ Reimer out multiple weeks with pulled groin

James Reimer picked up an injury as the Dallas Stars laid a beat down on the Florida Panthers beating them 6-1 Wednesday evening.

Florida Panthers goaltender James Reimer will be sidelined at least two weeks after pulling his groin in Tuesday’s 6-1 loss to the Dallas Stars.

Reimer was injured while extending his right leg in an attempt to make a save less than four minutes into the game. The 29-year-old owns a .911 save percentage and 3.04 goals-against average in 32 games this season.

Rookie Harri Sateri took over in the crease after Reimer’s exit. Florida has also been without starting netminder Roberto Luongo for the past 19 games due to a groin injury of his own.

The Panthers currently sit in sixth place in the Atlantic Division and are 11 points back of a playoff spot.
