Tragedy struck the South Florida area Wednesday after a mass shooting at a high school left at least 17 dead.
The Florida Panthers organization and its players have shown support for the victims, taking to social media to express condolences.

The Panthers have also issued the following statement:
[blockquote]”We are deeply saddened by the news of today’s shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland,” said Florida Panthers President & CEO Matthew Caldwell. “The hearts of the entire Florida Panthers organization are broken by the news of today’s events. We are committed to providing aid and support to our community as it grieves in response to this senseless tragedy.”[/blockquote]
A moment of silence was held before Wednesday’s game between the Panthers and Vancouver Canucks in honour of those affected by the tragedy.
