Parise could return to Wild lineup Friday vs. Jets

Radim Vrbata had a two-goal night to lead the Canucks to a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild.

The Minnesota Wild could have Zach Parise back in their lineup for Friday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets, the team announced Thursday.

Parise, who has been medically cleared after spraining his right MCL on Nov. 5, said he “felt comfortable” after participating in full practice with the team Thursday.

The winger was initially expected to miss four to six weeks, but has recovered quickly. He first took to the ice Nov. 16, and has participated in several morning skates with the team since.

It’s still up in the air whether or not he’ll play on Friday, but head coach Mike Yeo says the team is prepared either way.

“I’ve probably learned from mistakes in the past, to listen to the doctors and respect their decisions and follow through on what they have to say,” Parise told NHL.com. “At the end of the day, I wasn’t going to play unless I felt safe and comfortable and ready to play. Now, I feel like I’m getting there.”

The team has tallied a record of 4-3-1 in Parise’s absence.
