Patrick Kane signs to Seguin’s Swiss team

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane has signed to EHC Biel-Bienne of Switzerland’s A league, the club announced Tuesday afternoon.

Kane will join fellow young NHL offensive star Tyler Seguin, who signed with the club in late September.

Perhaps encouraged by the news, which seventh-place EHC Biel tweeted out just prior to its game against cellar-dwelling Ambri, Seguin promptly assisted on one goal and scored three more.

Kane, who is set to arrive in Switzerland on Sunday, will replace the injured Ahren Spylo on the team’s roster.

The 23-year-old has scored at least 21 goals in all five of his seasons with Chicago. He has 369 points in 399 regular-season NHL games and scored the Stanley Cup-winning overtime goal for his NHL club in 2010.
