Patrik Elias to make season debut against Blue Jackets

Cory Schneider got a win against the Canucks in Vancouver for the first time as the Devils won 3-2.

New Jersey Devils forward Patrik Elias will make his season debut tonight after missing the first 20 games of the season recovering from a right knee injury.

He skated on a line with centre Jacob Josefson and Stefan Matteau at practice.

The 39-year-old has scored 406 goals and 1,017 points in a lengthy NHL-career spent entirely with the Devils. He is their all-time leader in goals and assists.

He’s also played in 162 playoff games, scoring 125 points, while winning two Stanley Cups.

The Devils host the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.
