Penguins gifted custom WWE title belt by Triple H

The Pittsburgh Penguins, who defeated the San Jose Sharks in six games to win their fourth Cup Sunday, are being gifted a custom WWE championship belt from Triple H himself.

He’s not the first member of supergroup Degeneration X to back the black and gold. Shawn Michaels, the Heartbreak Kid, jumped on the bandwagon this postseason when the ‘HBK’ line of Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino and Phil Kessel took the NHL playoffs by storm.

Seeing Kessel, the former Bruin and Maple Leaf, lift the Cup was quite the sight Sunday.

The Penguins won 3-1 Sunday night to claim their first Cup since 2009. Sidney Crosby took home the Conn Smythe trophy as playoff MVP.
