Phantoms score three goals in just 21 seconds

Ottawa Senators goalie Andrew Hammond has revitalized Ottawa.

It was a rough night to say the least for Binghamton Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond.

Just 36 seconds into Wednesday’s game the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, had a 3-0 lead on Binghamton. All three goals came within 21 seconds, a new AHL record by one team. In 1997, Worcester and Springfield scored three times in 20 seconds between them.

Petr Straka started the scoring 15 seconds into the game with Jason Akeson and Andrew Gordon chipping in shortly after.
